ProBal Dynamic Balancing, LLC. (“ProBal”) is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the ProBal website (https://probaldynamicbalancing.com) and governs data collection and usage. By using the ProBal website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

 

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

ProBal keeps track of the websites and pages our customers visit within ProBal, in order to determine what ProBal services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within ProBal to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

 

Comments

 

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Media

 

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

 

Contact forms

 

ProBal collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number as provided. ProBal also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by ProBal. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by ProBal for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the ProBal web site.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through ProBal public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Note: ProBal does not read any of your private online communications.

Cookies


The ProBal website use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a webpage server. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

ProBal websites will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on ProBal or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of ProBal; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of ProBal, or the public.

 

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

 

Where we send your data

You have the right to request that we delete your personal data (although we may still need to retain your personal data as described above in this Website Privacy Notice for contractual and/or legal purposes). You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data (although we will still need to process your personal data during the duration of the contract and beyond for legal purposes).You have the right to access a copy of your personal data (and this is limited to information that is your personal data only, not to the underlying document or remaining information, and subject to the exemptions and qualifications under the applicable data privacy laws). International Transfer of Personal Data

Our principal operations are located in the United States, including our hosting facilities for our websites.

ProBal transfers your personal data within the ProBal group of affiliates, and/or to other third parties, such as our third-party service providers outside of the EEA/UK. When we do so, we transfer the information in compliance with applicable data protection laws. In particular, we have implemented safeguards in the form of standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission. The safeguards ensure compliance with the data protection requirements of the GDPR, as well as your rights appropriate to the processing of your personal data.
