WHY BALANCE A DRIVESHAFT
An unbalanced driveshaft creates vibration that increases with speed, causing driveline vibration, premature U-joint and carrier-bearing wear, and ride harshness. Balancing corrects the mass distribution so the shaft runs true across its operating speed range. Whether you call it a driveshaft, a drive shaft, or a propshaft, the physics are the same, and so is the fix.
Balancing matters especially for lengthened or modified driveshafts, lift kits, custom wheelbases, and performance builds, where the factory balance no longer applies and vibration shows up first at highway speed.
